Welcome to the inaugural Q&A session. I'm starting to get quite a bit of mail
(support issues, game hint requests, spam, and etc), so I decided to answer your questions and comments in a public forum. With a couple of exceptions, I'll list everyone as anonymous since this is the first session. Afterwards people who submit questions through the Q&A and Support addresses will have their first name displayed unless they say want to be anonymous. Alright, let's begin!

GamePad?

Hi,

What if i just want the gamepad and not the game. can i just buy the gamepad by itself? - Anonymous

You must be refering to our Collector's Edition of Pow Pow's Great Adventure which comes with a free gamepad. It's a shame you don't want the game! But it's okay, I understand. I'll make you a deal. How about I sell you the gamepad for $24.95 and I'll throw in the game for free! - Chris

Slow-Mo Pow

Pow Pow [Great Adventure] is running really slow for me. I'm also getting a lot of script errors. What should I do? - Anonymous

First update your video card drivers if necessary. Second, Pow Pow's Great Adventure uses a lot of system resources. You'll need a midrange PC and a highend Mac to run the game smoothly. If the game runs pretty smooth and you're still getting script errors, we'd appreciate if you could send us an e-mail to support@outsidetheboxsoftware.com with as much details about the script errors as possible.

Finally, we’re planning to do a major update codenamed “Pow Pow: Remix Edition”. It’s going to have much improved graphics and gameplay. Everybody who purchased the original will get the new one for free. - Chris

Cool game!

Dear Sirs,

Your golf game is very fun! You should keep making more online games like it. What other stuff you guys got planned?

Keep it up! - Anonymous

Thanks for the compliments! Glad you enjoyed the game. Our web mini-golf game seems to be gaining a lot of popularity. We do have another web game planned. Go to the Upcoming Games section and check out "Socio City". It's our next web game and it's pretty ambitious. - Chris

Suckage

Ur games suck.Nuff said. - Anonymous

Thanks for the compliments! Glad you enjoyed... oh wait. Well... we can't please everybody. While our games certainly aren't perfect, we do try to do something a little different with each game. Sometimes our experimentation doesn't always pan out. Overall though, we've been happy with how our games have been received by players, especially Pow Pow's Mini-Golf. But we're always open to suggestions, even from annoying twerps like yourself Mr. Anonymous. - Chris

What about console games?

Do you guys only make games for the computer? Do you have any plans to make console or handheld games? Computer games are cool, but I prefer to sit in front of a TV on my couch. - Anonymous

Currently we only make games for the computer that you can download or play online. I'd LOVE to be able to make console games. Unfortunately, it's just much too expensive for a small outfit like ours to break into the console market. It takes a multi-million dollar budget to develop a console game and to get it in strores. Also Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo usually like to work with big established publishers like EA, THQ, Activision, and etc.

But there is some hope. Xbox Live Arcade has opened up for small Independent developers. Even now, you can log on to Xbox Live Arcade and download a variety of games onto your Xbox from Independent developers. Many of them are casual puzzle games, but I've heard the games will begin to get more diverse fairly soon. Who knows, maybe one day one of our games will be on Xbox Live... - Chris

Gameboy

this game is sweet, man! if you could make this into a gameboy game for me, that would be great! if you do,consult me. my phone number is [Edited Out]. only call me if you make this game into a gameboy game! get it? got it? good. call me now - Anonymous

As for handhelds similar to the last question, it's a tough market to break into. I don’t know about the Gameboy Advance, but tell me Puzzle Attack wouldn't make a good Nintendo DS game. I think it's time for a petition... - Chris
